Our Story
Rooted. Roasted. Real.
The word “em” draws on many meanings in the Vietnamese lanugage. It’s tender, intimate, and affectionate. It holds comfort and quiet allure, a term used for someone cherished.
At Hello Em, “em” is who we brew for: the people we hold dear and hope to delight. That’s the warmth we pour into every cup.
We craft Vietnamese specialty coffee drinks and strive to deliver the deep, lingering satisfaction of an authentically timeless cà phê sữa đá.
We are a micro roastery and café in Little Saigon, Seattle, specializing in single-origin fine robusta beans directly sourced from Buôn Ma Thuột, Vietnam.
For us, roasting is a journey of exhilaration, chasing the fullest expression of Vietnamese coffee and sharing it one cup at a time.
We’re intentional with more than our roasting. Our cups carry meaning, too. As we transition from plastic to sustainable paper, you’ll notice our new cups: textured, heat-insulated, and designed with care for a functional grip and premium feel. It’s a shift that reduces waste while adding a little everyday luxury.
We are in the heart of the International District and share our space with Little Saigon Creative, run by the neighborhood non-profit Friends of Little Saigon. Collectively, we are part of a movement to revitalize the neighborhood, celebrate Vietnamese heritage, and nurture the community that calls it home.
Together, we help activate and preserve the cultural hub of Seattle’s Vietnamese community.
